A man is recovering after a vehicle accident sent his car about 200 feet into a canyon in Texas.

Authorities said a tire blowout caused the vehicle to roll off the road and plunge into the canyon.

The driver managed to walk away from the wreckage before being spotted by others.

Police said he was hospitalized with broken ribs and a possible concussion as the crash remains under investigation.
