"I want us to be clear," Mr. Milei said in Buenos Aires after his inauguration. "We are going to begin the rebuilding of Argentina after more than a hundred years of decadence. But we must embrace the ideas of freedom. While we will have to endure a period of hardship, we will get through. There is no night that has not been defeated by the day."
