A Chinese spacecraft returned to Earth on Monday following an over 9-month orbit.

Chinese state media said its trip marks an important breakthrough for China’s reusable spacecraft technology and that it would make future space missions less expensive.

Authorities haven’t given any details about the spacecraft, like what technology it uses, how high it flew, and where its orbits had taken it.

Some experts speculate that the craft could be used to gather intelligence or monitor sensitive areas, adding Beijing could also use the craft to send small satellites or sensors into space.
