New York Governor Kathy Hochul made more announcements for FIFA World Cup events in New York City on Monday.

She said that $6 million has been invested so far for building soccer fields across New York State, $5 million for building Infrastructure, and $1 million to make soccer programming more affordable for families.

Tickets are required to attend the July 19 event where the Central Park "watch party" will include giant LED screens, food vendors, and live performances. It will be free to attend.

Hochul and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani also announced free fan fests in each of the city's five boroughs. A fan fest is also planned for Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.
