In Minnesota, federal agents shot and killed an armed man who approached U.S. Border Patrol officers during a targeted operation in Minneapolis Saturday morning, the Department of Homeland Security says. This marked the third federal shooting incident in the city in recent weeks, amid heightened enforcement and protests. The man, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident, was hit after officers say he approached with a handgun and resisted disarmament.

President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social Saturday, saying he would “immediately” hit Canada with a 100 percent tariff if the country follows through on a trade deal with China. Trump said the proposed deal would provide China with a “drop off port” to send products into the United States—a move he warned would be harmful to American interests.
