Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday announced a three-day cease-fire in Ukraine, starting on May 8. The Kremlin said Putin had ordered a full cessation of hostilities on “humanitarian grounds” to mark the Allied victory over Nazi Germany in 1945. Ukraine, which agreed to a cease-fire earlier this month, has not yet responded to the announcement.
