South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Trump's nominee to lead the Department of Homeland Security, faced senators at a confirmation hearing on Friday. In her opening remarks, Noem said Americans felt less safe in their own country and vowed that "President-elect Trump is going to change that."
