Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle are aiming to counter the influence of America's adversaries in Africa. They are pushing the Biden administration to expand the Abraham Accords—a Trump-era policy that secured diplomatic relations between Israel and a number of Arab nations—on the continent.

California lawmakers will vote on Bill AB 665—which critics are describing as state-sanctioned kidnapping. The law would allow children aged 12 and upward to leave home and check into a residential facility without parental consent. NTD spoke with attorney Nicole Pearson from the legal firm Truth Law Facts Justice to find out the details.
