A federal court has given the green light to a new map of congressional districts in Alabama—just in time for the 2024 congressional elections. The decision is expected to benefit the Democratic Party in a state that traditionally leans heavily Republican.

The Heritage Foundation is suggesting heavy charges against Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), the congressman who pulled a fire alarm in a House office building last weekend—the same charges that were brought against Jan. 6 defendants. If convicted, the congressman could face several years behind bars.
