The Republican National Convention begins in Milwaukee Monday, where former President Trump is expected to formally accept the Republican nomination for president. The former president said he has rewritten his speech for the convention following Saturday's assassination attempt, and that he will announce his pick for vice president.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will hold a press briefing with Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. They are expected to address questions related to the assassination attempt on Trump.
