Leavitt Previews Trump's Thursday Election Speech

Brad Bannon, Democratic strategist, and president of Bannon Communications Research, and John Jordan, economist and Republican strategist, discussed with NTD's Steve Lance the impact of the number of elected Democrats supporting socialist ideas, the progressive wing of the Democratic Party's targeting of Michigan and Wisconsin, and how the socialist platform will work into the Republicans' favor.

Bannon said the views of the Democratic Socialists of America do not represent the overwhelming majority of the Democratic elected officials.

Jordan agreed and said there are enough members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) leftists that they're going to allow the Republicans to claim the mantle of being the party of "normal." He said the DSA wing of the party is 85 percent white, and 4 percent black. Meanwhile, Jordan added that the Democratic Party has relied on a multiracial coalition that President Donald Trump and Republicans gained in 2024, and said that DSA policies do not sell well with enormous blocks of the Democrat electorate.

The panel also responded to Trump's Monday speech in Michigan, calling socialism "a serious threat," as part of his push for the midterm election.
