Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) discussed with NTD's Steve Lance the hearing before the House Oversight Committee hearing on the Smithsonian Museum's downplaying American artifacts in favor of sexual images, and the release of Chinese Pastor Ezra Jin Mingri, who spent 266 days in detention.

Cruz said America is the greatest country the world has ever seen, with a journey built on eternal truths that "all men are created equal," and that "they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights."

Cruz called for far more supervision of the Smithsonian Museum to ensure the institution is telling the American story in a "fair and real way," not in an "ideological and twisted" way.

Cruz discussed his efforts calling for China to release Jin, and his meeting with Pastor Jin on Tuesday. He called for China to release other Christian pastors in prison, and discussed bipartisan legislation he authored for sanctioning individuals that carry out forced organ harvesting in China.
