The administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), Kelly Loeffler, <a href="https://x.com/SBA_Kelly/status/2006893291241980325?s=20">sa</a>i<a href="https://x.com/SBA_Kelly/status/2006893291241980325?s=20">d</a> in a <a href="https://x.com/SBA_Kelly/status/2006893291241980325?s=20">post</a> on X on Thursday night that her agency has suspended 6,900 Minnesota borrowers after uncovering what it called "widespread suspected fraud" related to COVID-19 pandemic loans. Loeffler said the SBA has reviewed the Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan records and identified almost $400 million in potentially fraudulent loans tied to Minnesota.

Loeffler said those borrowers will be barred from all future SBA programs. She also said the agency will refer some cases to federal law enforcement for prosecution and repayment.
