With frequencies below 20 hertz, infrasound permeates ecosystems, raising concerns among researchers about its effects on both animals and humans.

Dr. Ursula Bellut-Staeck's 2023 study has drawn attention to the issue, showing how these low-frequency vibrations can penetrate walls, bodies, and entire ecosystems, potentially causing harm as wind turbines increase in size and number.

Researcher Mariana Alves Pereira, affiliated with the Portuguese University Lusofona, has dedicated 15 years to studying the effects of wind turbine infrasound. Her work has documented numerous cases of livestock harm and decreased milk quality, indicating the far-reaching consequences of this phenomenon. Despite the urgent need for further investigation, health authorities in Europe have been slow to acknowledge these risks, leaving many turbines unchecked and potentially harmful.
