Southern California is bracing for extreme heat, with temperatures climbing into the triple digits this week. At the same time, powerful storms triggered tornadoes and left thousands without power across several states in the Midwest and East Coast regions.

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning across much of Southern California, including Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, as temperatures are expected to soar into the triple digits this week. Highs could reach up to 104 degrees, with the heat wave lasting from Tuesday morning through Friday evening.
