Chinese tech giant Huawei is facing growing scrutiny in Europe. Spanish telecom giant Telefonica is replacing all of its Huawei-made 5G equipment in Spain and Germany to comply with local rules.

The European Union is urging member countries to exclude Huawei from their 5G networks. The bloc warns that waiting too long puts the entire EU at risk. This comes as Spain recently signed a contract worth over $14 million with Huawei to use its hardware for storing law enforcement wiretaps.
