Massive crowds are expected at the memorial for Charlie Kirk on Sunday. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are slated to speak. Authorities are preparing the highest-level of security possible.

Tens of thousands are expected to attend Charlie Kirk's memorial at the State Farm stadium on Sunday in Glendale, Arizona.

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security told NTD that they are designating it as a tier one security threat, the highest level of security warning. A spokesperson from the local Glendale, Arizona, police department said that they are also activating all units. SWAT teams, drones, and Secret Service are expected to patrol the area.

The tier one threat level is typically used for the Super Bowl or large concerts, but in those cases, law enforcement is usually given about a year to plan for it, whereas in this memorial, they're given a little over a week. While travelers await the memorial, hundreds are coming to the Turning Point headquarters in Phoenix to lay flowers and pay respects to Kirk and his values of family, faith, and freedom.

"Charlie Kirk faced death threats every single week. And you know what he did in the face of those death threats? He announced a campus tour, and he walked out there proud and held his head up high and stood tall for the truth," said Jack Posobiec, senior editor at the outlet Human Events. "I would say, be like Charlie."

"He feared nobody but his Lord and Savior," Matthew Smith told NTD. "That's the biggest thing. Because, you know, he even said, you know, I fear nobody. He didn't have a bulletproof glass, vest nothing. He went to his campuses knowing what he was going to go to, knowing that every day could be his last day.

"This country really needs to come together," Marrsue Martin said. "Even if you didn't vote for that person, you still need to be united."

"The day before was September 9, was my son's anniversary of his death, and he would have been 50 years old. So that was a sad day. And then next day, Charlie was killed," Cathy Nagode told NTD. "Just emotional the whole time, like he was my son."

"I really felt more in tune to God that day than I ever have in a long time and felt that he was bringing that to my heart, you know, and saying, you know, I need to change a few things and be a better person."

Alicia Sharer said that her parents were at the shooting and that it's been hard for them. "I really looked up to Charlie being a young teenager looking into politics, and he really made it so I could understand it a lot better," she said.

For Sunday's event, authorities are urging people to be patient, expect long wait lines, and to stay hydrated, as temperatures will be over 90 degrees.
