Border czar Tom Homan has revealed a significant drop in border encounters totaling 6,070 for the month of June.

"That is less than a single day under Biden. As a matter of fact, the total number of encounters is less than half of a single day under Biden on many days," Homan <a href="https://x.com/RealTomHoman/status/1940156659084796257">wrote in an X post. </a>

None of the 6,070 were released into the United States.

"ZERO," Homan stressed.
<p data-start="566" data-end="785">The numbers for June 2025 represent about a 93 percent drop from June 2024, when border encounters were logged at 87,606.</p>
The latest border statistics represent "The Trump Effect," according to Homan.

"President Trump has created the most secure border in the history of the nation and the data proves it," Homan added. "We have never seen numbers this low. Never."

As for nationwide encounters, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says Border Patrol had the lowest number on record in June at 25,243—a 12 percent decrease from the previous record set in February this year.

In a <a href="https://x.com/Sec_Noem/status/1940441272159764570">post on X,</a> Noem said: "The world is hearing our message: the border is closed to law breakers. Under President Trump, our Border Patrol agents are empowered to do their job once again, secure our border, and protect the American people."

The White House praised the latest numbers in a <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/07/extraordinary-president-trump-drives-illegal-border-crossings-to-a-new-historic-low/#:~:text=Now%2C%20Congress%20has%20a%20chance,one%20million%20deportations%20per%20year.">statement</a> as "another record-setting low," noting that border encounters are 15 percent lower than the previous record set in March.

For the second straight month, the White House said, no illegal immigrants were released into the United States.

Also last month on June 28, Border Patrol experienced a single-day record low number of illegal immigrant encounters, 137, at the southern border.

The number of illegal immigrants who escaped into the country undetected, also known as “gotaways," was 90 percent lower compared to the same month last year.

The White House said this fiscal year is on track to see the fewest illegal immigrant encounters in five decades.

The Trump administration has also pushed Congress to fortify its progress at the border by sending the One Big Beautiful Bill to President Trump’s desk. The massive policy package includes funding to finish the border wall, hire thousands of new border personnel, expand detention capabilities, and fund at least one million deportations every year.

Speaking to reporters about a 75-year-old Cuban national who died in ICE custody earlier this week, Homan said he was unaware of his death and argued that ICE is saving lives.

"People die in ICE custody. People die in county jails. People die in state prisons," <a href="https://x.com/BulwarkOnline/status/1939759116731158717?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1939759116731158717%7Ctwgr%5Ee73a0be187048c633aa31ff3ca03b964b466a0dd%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.salon.com%2F2025%2F07%2F01%2Fi-mean-people-die-homan-waves-off-death-of-75-year-old-in-ice-custody%2F">he said.</a> "The question should be how many lives does ICE save, because when they go into detention, we find many with diseases and stuff that we deal with right away to prevent that."

June's border encounter numbers come as the Trump administration continues its nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration.

Democrats have largely pushed back on the Trump administration's sweeping immigration policies, advocating for due process and protections for immigrants. Some Democrat leaders in so-called sanctuary jurisdictions have sought to limit cooperation between state and local law enforcement and ICE.

Trump's crackdown ignited nationwide protests last month, prompting the president to send the National Guard and military to protect federal properties.

Meanwhile, Homan continues to praise the work of federal agents.

"God bless the men and women of the US Border Patrol and God bless the men and women of ICE. The interior arrests and consequences help to drive down illegal immigration. The TRUMP EFFECT keeps America winning," Homan said.

The latest illegal immigrant detention facility, known as "Alligator Alcatraz," was just built in the Everglades and its first batch of illegal immigrants are set to arrive on Wednesday.
