President Donald Trump is getting into the fusion power business through a $6 billion merger of his social media firm Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) and Google-backed TAE Technologies, the president's company announced Thursday.

In a joint <a href="https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2025/12/18/3207544/0/en/Trump-Media-Technology-Group-to-Merge-with-TAE-Technologies-a-Premier-Fusion-Power-Company-in-All-Stock-Transaction-Valued-at-More-Than-6-Billion.html">statement</a>, TMTG—owner of Truth Social—and TAE said the deal seeks to create one of the world’s first publicly traded fusion companies.

The all-stock deal is an ambitious bet on the power boom spurred by artificial intelligence datacenters and adds to the Trump family's growing roster of diverse ventures from cryptocurrency to real estate holdings and mobile services.
