U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that an interim agreement to end the war with Iran was "over" after Tehran carried out new attacks on U.S. bases in the Gulf.

“For me, I think it’s over,” Trump responded when asked about the status of the ceasefire. He added that U.S. representatives can continue negotiations, but he cast doubt on the outcome. “They can talk, but I think they’re wasting their time,” he said.

"I'll give them a little warning," Trump added in remarks to reporters at the NATO summit. "We're going to hit them hard tonight, but we'll see how it all works out."
