He said that peace would remain an impossibility as long as Hamas remains as a governing or administrative force that can use violence to achieve its aims.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump commented on Hamas’s recent handover of three Israeli hostages. “It will be up to Israel what the next step is, in consultation with me,” he said.

David Wurmser, an analyst for Middle East affairs with the Center for Security Policy, joins NTD’s Brendon Fallon to provide his insight into these developments. He discusses what actions can be expected next from the United States, where the fragile Israel–Hamas cease-fire agreement now stands, and whether Rubio’s visit to the Middle East could have a bearing on U.S.–China relations.
