Video posted by U.S. Central Command on April 19 is said to show a U.S. Navy destroyer firing on an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel.

According to CENTCOM, a U.S. Navy destroyer intercepted "M/V Touska as it transited the north Arabian Sea at 17 knots enroute to Bandar Abbas, Iran."

CENTCOM's statement with the video says Touska’s crew "failed to comply with repeated warnings over a six-hour period," leading the destroyer, USS Spruance, to fire "several rounds from the destroyer’s 5-inch MK 45 Gun into Touska’s engine room."

CENTCOM also said U.S. Marines boarded the vessel, which remains in U.S. custody.
