More than 600 employees are out of a job at the U.S. Agency of Global Media, Voice of America's parent agency, marking an 85 percent decrease in workers since March. Kari Lake, senior adviser to the Trump administration, announced the mass layoffs Friday morning in a post on the X social media platform.

A 20-year-old man was arrested during an immigration operation in Southern California. Video shows the confrontation with Border Patrol agents, who say he attacked an officer.

The president is calling for an investigation into the 2020 election after the FBI declassified documents alleging that China attempted to interfere.
