The U.S. military said late on Tuesday that a blockade by American forces has completely halted economic trade going into and out of Iran by sea.

In a post on X, U.S. Central Command said that “an estimated 90 percent of Iran’s economy is fueled by international trade by sea.”

Talks to end the Iran war could resume in Pakistan over the next two days, President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, after the collapse of weekend negotiations prompted Washington to impose a blockade on Iranian ports.
