NY Mayor Snubbed Taiwan President After Warning From China: Report

A letter is bringing to light Chinese efforts to influence U.S. Congressional and local officials. National Review reported that New York City Mayor Eric Adams skipped a banquet with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen last year. The incident came after Chinese Consul General Huang Ping sent a letter to Mr. Adams, urging him to quote “avoid any kind of official contact with Tsai when she is in New York City.”
