The arrival of around 60,000 illegal immigrants to New York is presenting the city with a daunting financial challenge. Mayor Eric Adams has called for 15 percent budget cuts across all city agencies by spring in response.

NTD speaks to Daniel Di Martino, a graduate fellow at the Manhattan Institute, for analysis on whether the city’s response is sustainable and what should be done to solve the crisis in New York.
