New York Mayor Eric Adams spoke about the influx of immigrants on busses which, after an executive order he issued last week limiting them, have been diverted to neighboring New Jersey.

Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli said that Secaucus police and town officials had been told by Hudson County officials about the arrival of buses at the train station in Secaucus Junction. He said four buses were believed to have arrived and dropped off migrants who then took trains into New York City to evade an executive order by New York’s mayor trying to regulate how and when migrants can be dropped off in the city.

Mr. Adams says he and fellow officials are working on addressing the issue “within the confines of the law.”
