Governor Cuomo relayed a tough message to New York City restaurants.

“Five days, if the hospitalization rate doesn’t stabilize in New York City, we gonna close indoor dining, we’re now at 25 percent,” said Cuomo.

Other parts of the state will decrease from 50 percent capacity to 25 percent. New York City would have to close down all indoor dining since they’re already down to 25 percent occupancy.

According to one New York City restaurant manager, Cuomo’s proposed complete shutdown isn’t reflective of the numbers in Manhattan.

He added that there is not much room left for local restaurants to survive this upcoming winter.

Another Manhattan restaurant manager said that he doesn’t know if his business will be able to reopen after the shutdown.

That’s because December and January usually bring in the highest revenue of the winter.
