NYC Restaurants Call for Relief

People gathered in Times Square on Dec. 15 to call for financial aid in order to keep their businesses running after Mayor Bill de Blasio’s ban on indoor dining.

New York City is also looking at a possible second shutdown right after Christmas.

Only 1.4 percent of virus cases have been traced back to indoor dining and gyms account for even less than that. According to one attendee, those venues should open up.

While financial help would be helpful, most attendees told NTD it would make more sense to follow the data and the science behind the virus tracking to keep the venues open.
