New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is warning New Yorkers that the city will begin to run out of vaccine doses on Jan. 21. This is because the city has not been able to secure more doses to meet the demand.
New York City has closed 15 of its vaccination sites, postponing some 23,000 vaccination appointments because of the shortage. These sites are expected to remain closed until at least the end of the week.
