New York City held its annual “Good Riddance” event in Times Square Monday. The event encourages people to write down unpleasant memories from the year. Those are then thrown into an oversized paper shredder. About a dozen people lined up to shred the things they want to forget about 2020. Among the submissions to the “Good Riddance” event were the pandemic, new social distancing norms, and Zoom video conferencing calls.
