Despite the cold December weather in the city, people usually come here to see what new decorations each location has to offer.

One of the best places to do that is Fifth Avenue. We used footage we took in recent years to show you how it usually looks on the famous shopping street.

The difference compared to this year is striking.

Several well-known brands in the area are struggling to keep their stores running. The Italian fashion company Valentino SpA has sued the landlord of its Fifth Avenue store. They argued they can’t keep their store open due to government restrictions and were trying to void their lease.

JLL, an international real estate service, said that non-luxury brands are starting to be seen more frequently on Fifth Avenue ever since the restrictions have been put in place.
