The NYPD and Mayor Eric Adams announced on Monday arrests involving a ring of thieves who have been snatching cell phones and wallets from victims throughout the city in recent months.
According to the NYPD, alleged ring leader Victor Parra would use social media to communicate with illegal immigrants who would then drive stolen mopeds to commit the crimes. While some arrests were made, some of the criminals are still at large.
