Oakland Residents Demand ‘State of Emergency’ for Rising Crime

A large crowd gathered outside of a public safety meeting with Oakland’s mayor, acting police chief, and county district attorney. Frustrated residents are calling for a state of emergency declaration, more police presence, and even sending in national guardsmen to combat the rising crimes in the city.
