How these two adopted kittens filled the void in each other’s lives is simply heart-warming. Indeed life in any species can teach us how to love and understand!
Cats need loads of pampering, and stroking from their human family members. While they can be extremely aggressive, they are also the first ones to jump at the slightest noise. Just like humans, each one has its own characteristic and it is absolutely intriguing to study their behavior.
Here is a story of two such extremely exceptional cats who turned into soul mates for each other.
Hector was rescued and now lives with his foster parents.
“He was found as a kitten in Stockton with a maggot infested tail, which had to be amputated,” Hector’s foster parents said in an interview.
It didn’t take long for Hector to return to his normal, happy self after the surgery.
Meanwhile, Ginger was placed in a foster home with plans of putting him up for adoption. But little Ginger put up resistance, since he had taken to another kitten, Kanga Roo.
Kanga Roo was also a disabled kitten born with a genetic condition called Radial Agenesis: This causes the front legs to bend and so she could not walk like other normal cats.
But that did not bother Kanga Roo as she managed pretty well hopping around with the back-legs, just like a kangaroo – and that’s how she got her unique name.
Hector took one look at Kanga Roo and fell in love. As they say – love is blind. Both were oblivious to each other’s handicaps and they became true friends.
“We had every intention to have him adopted out but their bond was stronger than my will,” said Kanga and Hector’s human.
Kanga Roo and Hector fulfilled each other’s requirements in all ways and the foster parents did not have the heart to separate them.
Kanga Roo and Hector are inseparable.
Just like little children who love to mimic their older siblings, Hector too loves to follow everything Kanga does. Kanga Roo eats with a food stand to help her get a better and more comfortable reach and now…
Hector does the same thing.
This was the first time the foster parents had the experience of fostering a kitten from Saving Grace Rescue, when they took him in on May 2015.
It surely seems like it won’t be their last.
