A Georgia officer is credited with saving the life of a man twice in two weeks.
The officer’s body camera footage shows the man overdosing from opioids.
Chattahoochee Hills Police Officer Michael Lynch can be seen pulling up to the same home. He administers Narcan, an opioid-reversal agent used in emergency situations.
Drugabuse.gov says Narcan is “an opioid antagonist—meaning that it binds to opioid receptors and can reverse and block the effects of other opioids. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications.”
