Ominous-looking real-life dust devil sweeps across land after major Portugal wildfire

A dust devil swept through a burnt out field after the worst forest fire in Portugal’s history. The fire killed 64 people and saw a failure of the emergency services network.

The dust devil traveled 12 miles from the site of the fire.

Dust devils pick up heat and soot along burnt hillsides. They are created from heat, dust, and wind. They don’t get as big or do as much damage as tornadoes.
