One Chinese Company Emitted More CO2 Than UK

The world’s greenhouse gas emissions levels have hit a new record. A report by the U.N. World Meteorological Organization shows that carbon dioxide levels surged to 413 parts per million in 2020.

Meanwhile, a report by Bloomberg shows a handful of Chinese companies contributed to the majority of carbon dioxide emissions for all of 2019. In some cases, one Chinese company released more CO2 than an entire nation’s emissions.
