OpenTheBooks.com Opens California’s Books

The California government’s spending has finally been made public. Openthebooks.com, the world’s largest private database of America’s public expenditures, has spent a decade trying to open California’s books. It had succeeded in opening every other state’s books. California was the one and only hold-out because the state comptroller refused to cooperate.
