Operation Legend is a Trump administration initiative to drive down violent crime in major inner cities.

Launched in Kansas City, Missouri this past July, it has expanded to eight other cities.

Since its launch, Operation legend made over 6,000 arrests. About 467 of those were for murder and roughly 1,500 nabbed federal offenders. The program also seized 2,600 firearms, and over 1,000 lbs. of heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

The Department of Justice also recovered more than $11 million in drug and other illicit proceeds.
