New Zealand’s Minister of Defense, Peeni Henare, said over the weekend that he believes in the sovereignty of the Pacific island nations. Additionally, they can make their own decisions about whether or not to get involved with China, and that it was not in anyone’s interest to try to coerce a certain outcome.
