It was “meet your twin” day at the Berlin zoo on Oct. 30, when two panda babies met for the first time.

While their mother Meng Meng was chewing away on some bamboo the little ones sniffed around each other and lay together on a table.

They are two months old now and getting stronger and more active every day, the zoo said in a statement. Their current weight is about 3 kilograms (about 7 pounds) each, it added.

The cubs were born on Aug. 31 and will be named by the end of the year.

The first family trip with their mother to explore the outside of their enclosure is scheduled for the beginning of next year.

The twins need some more weeks to get their full mobility and become stronger, the zoo said.
