Paris creates biodiversity walk to support Paris accord

Paris has transformed its heart into a celebration of nature.

The city has cordoned off 2.5 acres around the Arc de Triomphe and devoted the space to an installation called BiodiversitEarth.

This display brings people in touch with the other life forms on the planet.

Parisians and tourists can walk through the closed off, car-free area and see up close the plants and animals, which we depend on—and which depend on us.

The promenade is the brainchild of artist Gad Weil.

Weil wants people to see and interact with other forms of life to strengthen the connection and awareness of interdependence.

President Donald Trump wants to improve the Paris climate accord. Therefore he withdrew the United States from the existing agreement.
