The “Get Fair About Farming” campaign says that almost half of fruit and vegetable farmers fear potential business closure in the next 12 months. More than 100,000 individuals have articulated concerns on these issues through a petition addressing supermarkets’ conduct in this context. MPs are set to debate rules ensuring fair treatment of farmers by supermarkets on Jan. 22. NTD interviewed Catherine Withers, a Bristol livestock farmer, for insights.
