An Argentine mountain climber was trapped on a mountain. The climber was on Canada’s Mount Logan.

An earthquake forced her into survival mode. Now her partner is arriving from Argentina to be reunited.

Camilo Rada talked about the decisions made to save his partner, rescued Argentine climber Natalia Martinez, “I think nobody can really say if the mountain was super dangerous or not that much. The earthquake, the instability of the mountain plus the the big snow[fall] produced a combination situation that all the recommendations for Natalia was to stay where she was and be airlifted by helicopter instead of trying to go down or climb up. And that was also my personal point of view so I pushed for that option. She was very disappointed to quit in her quest to the summit but she also agreed that it was the safer option.”
