Riders on the Joker’s Jinx roller coaster got some extra thrills Thursday, April 13.

The ride at Largo, Maryland’s Six Flags amusement park stalled in the middle of a run, stranding six cars full of passengers 100 feet in the air.

It took rescue personnel from Prince George’s County Fire/EMS four hours to retrieve all 24 trapped riders.

The stranded passengers seemed not to be concerned—after all, they expected a thrill ride and they got one.

According to the advertisements, Joker’s Jinx features a “cobra roll, a sidewinder loop a corkscrew, and countless swift reversals.”

Now advertiser can add to that list high-altitude emergency rescue.
