So-called book bans were the topic of passionate debate at the Indian Prairie public library in Darien, Illinois on Aug. 22. Rep. Sean Casten (D-Ill.) convened the roundtable meeting to allow parents and members of society to express their concerns over the presence of what they describe as books with inappropriate content at their local library. It’s been two months since Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed an anti-book ban law.
