Patek Philippe, with an established name for its prestige and tradition,

is much loved by many prominent people. Now, let’s dial back and take a look.

 

George S. Patton, Jr.

In 1909, his father bought a Patek Philippe pocket watch with $350 as a gift for Patton‘s graduation from West Point. This pocket watch had accompanied Patton for more than 30 years.

 

John F. Kennedy

On June 26, 1963, Willy Brandt, mayor of West Berlin give Kennedy this clock after his famous “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech. Displaying times in Washington DC, Moscow, and Berlin, it marked a time when Washington and Moscow had finally established a communication mechanism.

 

Joe DiMaggio

The American sports icon and New York baseball Legend, was reportedly given a Patek Philippe Ref. 130J, created in 1948, by the owners of New York Yankees. The watch now resides in a private collection.

 

Asa Candler

Coca Cola’s President Candler got this Art deco wristwatch in 1924. It has a gold-plated dial. The black hand-painted enamel geometric patterns are still very clear.

 

Jack Daniel

This watch belonged to Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel, creator of the famous whisky brand.

It has a Rose gold case with white enamel dial.

 

And there are many historical figures and royal family members who like to own a Patek Philippe. The exquisite workmanship would impress anyone, even if you are not a fan for expensive watches. Some love the tradition it represents. Some are just fascinated by the delicate ticks from it in a quiet room.
