The Department of Defense (DOD) has said the decision to pause transition briefings to Biden was “mutually agreed upon.” The department said it will continue with the briefings after a pause for the holidays.

The Department of Defense told The Epoch Times their main focus over the next few weeks is to provide essential information on Operation Warp Speed and the virus to ensure a smooth transition.

The Department said the move to pause giving Biden’s transition team briefings was mutually agreed upon.

The Biden team disagreed with this statement, and said it’s important for the briefings to continue as quote “there is no time to spare.”

Axios cited anonymous sources who claim DOD officials were shocked because Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller ordered cooperation with Biden’s team to come to a halt.

Miller said the DOD is working to reschedule about 20 interviews with 40 officials after Jan. 1.
