Pelican Shot in Wings Finds Forever Home in Bronx Zoo

After nearly a year of waiting, Amos the American white pelican has finally found a permanent home in the Bronx Zoo. He was found in Texas in 2016, unable to fly. He was taken to the Wildlife Rescue Center at the nearby Texas State Aquarium, where photos were taken showing two broken wings from bullets. He was rehabilitated in the center and will spend his remaining days in the Bronx Zoo, as he can no longer fly.
